Angela is an experienced defense attorney who practices in both federal and state court. She represents clients in all aspects of a criminal case, including pretrial plea negotiations, trial, appeals, and post-conviction matters. Angela enjoys working with clients from all backgrounds and walks of life to achieve the best possible outcome for each individual in their case.

Prior to joining the firm, Angela was an attorney in the trial unit at the Federal Defender’s office in Boise, where she focused exclusively on federal criminal matters. Prior to moving to Idaho, Angela practiced civil litigation in New York City for over five years. During her time in New York, she also represented clients pro bono in both federal and state courts, including the successful representation of a client in a § 1983 action against the New York State Board of Parole, and obtained asylum for clients. For her pro bono work, she was awarded the City Bar Justice Center 2018 Jeremy G. Epstein Award for Outstanding Pro Bono Service.

Angela graduated magna cum laude from Cornell Law School. After graduating from law school, she clerked for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Bruce J. McGiverin in the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.

Angela is licensed in Idaho and New York and has appeared before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Federal Circuit.

While born in Taiwan and fluent in mandarin, Angela has lived in the United States for the vast majority of her life. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and worked at Ernst & Young in Chicago for several years.
