About
Michaela Adams is an experienced criminal defense lawyer and board member of the Idaho Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Michaela represents those accused of misdemeanor and felony crimes. She enjoys being in the courtroom and zealously defending her client’s rights through all available means, including negotiation, mitigation efforts, motion practice, and trial.
Michaela received her Bachelor of Science in Advertising with a minor in Family and Consumer Sciences from the University of Idaho in 2012, followed by her Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2015. As a law student, she was a research assistant for the General and Mediation Clinic director. She received the Spirit of the Clinic Award for her participation in both clinics, which is given to those who best represent the clinic and demonstrate passion for their work.
Michaela received recognition as an Honored Listee in Marquis Who’s Who, a distinction awarded to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, accomplishments, and influence in their profession or community. She was also named as an Up and Coming Leader in Law by the Idaho Business Review in 2022. Committed to continuous growth and giving back to the community, Michaela earned her certification in basic mediation through the Idaho Mediation Association in 2024 and actively volunteers for the Idaho Justice Project.
Prior to joining the firm, Michaela clerked for the Honorable Thomas J. Ryan at the Canyon County District Court before accepting a deputy trial attorney position with the Ada County Public Defender’s Office.
As a public defender, Michaela helped hundreds of clients through their legal battles with compassion and diligence. She understands being criminally accused by the Government is a daunting position to be in and works to ensure her clients feel confident and heard every step of the way.
